The Campaign
EveryBlackGirl, Inc. formed because our founder, Vivian Anderson, saw 1 black girl, Niya Kenny on a news segment explaining why she spoke out during the assault of her classmate by a school resource officer in 2015. "I knew she didn't have anyone else to speak up for her, " Niya told the reporter.
After connecting with Niya and hearing her vision for safe spaces, EveryBlackGirl was eventually formed and has since served hundreds of youth. |
Just as Vivian's ability to see Niya and support her changed Niya's life and birthed a powerful organization; if we each choose to #see1blackgirl, we can change the world.
The #see1blackgirl campaign is a part of our commitment to capturing and sharing stories of black girls being seen and seeing. This campaign will help promote awareness about EBG's program and raise funds to support our mission. |
